7:00-7:30pm - Business Meeting

7:30-8:30pm - Presentation by Sonora Medical on Evidence Based Quality Assurance on Endoscopes, light sources, etc. to demonstrate the use of test equipment and tools.

Workshop Description - Diagnostic ultrasound systems are expensive to maintain and critical to patient outcomes for a wide variety of exams and procedures, but until recently tools were not available to perform objective testing. As a result, many facilities do not have a program for quality assurance and are not aware of the opportunities that exist to improve patient outcomes while at the same time reducing operating expenses. The rationale for establishing an evidence-based quality assurance program will be presented, and the tools and processes needed to develop and implement an EBQA program will be discussed.

Speaker - James D. (Jim) Carr is the Senior Vice President of Service and Training Operations for Sonora Medical Systems. He has over 30 years of experience in medical imaging in various management positions in service, quality assurance, technical support, manufacturing and engineering.
