NESCE's winter meeting will be held at the Stony Creek Brewery in Branford, CT on Wednesday January 15th. The program will begin at 5:30 pm with a happy hour at Stony Creek Brewery (5 Indian Neck Ave, Branford, CT 06405), cash bar. Dinner will be served at 6:30 pm and at 7 pm our speaker, Joseph Ouellette of Yale New Haven Health, will speak on "Implementing and Utilizing a Medical Device Security Platform"
Joseph Ouellette is a Clinical Systems Engineer at Yale New Haven Health System and has been with the organization about 9 years. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Connecticut in Biomedical Engineering, with a minor in Physiology and Neurobiology, as well as Master’s Degrees in Clinical Engineering, also from UConn, and Healthcare Informatics, from Sacred Heart University. Joe did his two year CE internship at the West Haven VA, where he was first introduced to medical device security by leading a major network segmentation and ACL initiative. Since joining Yale, Joe has integrated over 3000 devices to the EMR, contributed to developing a first of its kind Neonatal ICU Connected Care alarming system, and been a leader in medical device security initiatives.
